Forever Sharp Knives Review: Are they worth it?
When you are a brand called Forever Sharp Knives, certain things come to mind. And naturally, one BIG question: Are they truly forever sharp? In our Forever Sharp Knives review, we cut through all the hype to see if these knives are worth your money.
This review will focus on their classic series. It’s a great marketing idea; with these knives as seen on tv commercials, you want to believe that there are the last knives you buy, and they will truly last you a lifetime.
Let’s dive in…
What’s In The Box?
The box of the Forever Sharp Knives Classic series comes with a total of 7 knives. Inside the box, you get:
- 1 Filet Knife
- 2 Pairing Knives
- 2 Gourmet Juicers
- 4 Steak knives
- 3 Forever Sharp Knives
Are They Really “Forever Sharp”?
The design of these knives and the key selling point is that they never need to be sharpened. They offer a lifetime guarantee. Which, let’s face it, you should offer when you are claiming that these knives will be sharp forever. The series is designed as a carving knife, frozen food knife, and bread knife.
Forever Sharp Gourmet Steak Knives
If you don’t need the larger knives and juicer, or you just want a steak knife set. Forever Sharp also sells a set of 4 steak knives. They are decently priced for a set of 4 and boast that they use surgical stainless steel. They aren’t a wood handle steak knife set, but if you want a wood handle or a pakkawood handle, you will be paying a much higher premium than what these knives are priced at.
Where to Buy Them?
You can buy them on their website or buy them on Amazon here.
Are Forever Sharp Knives dishwasher safe?
The site claims they are dishwasher safe. However, in our experience, putting kitchen knives in the dishwasher can dull the blade, and leaving them in the dishwasher can cause them to develop rust spots. Any high-quality knives should be treated the same way.
What is Forever Sharp Knives Warranty?
These knives come with a lifetime guarantee. There are many reviews of people saying they have had them for 5 up to 15 years, and they are still going strong, making them a good knife at this price.
Are Forever Sharp Knives good?
I am pretty hesitant about a product like this, we have bought similar ones in the past, and they haven’t lasted very long, but the reviews on Amazon are pretty favorable, earning 4.4 out of 5 with over 180 global ratings (you can see that here).
Looking through the reviews, people generally seem to really like these knives. I think it depends on the kind of person that you are. If you are someone who wants the finest knives available, then you should likely look elsewhere (check out these knife reviews: Cangshan Knife Review, Dalstrong Knife Review, Miyabi Knife Review, and our Wusthof Knife Review for a higher quality of knife). Or if you want a larger knife set that has things like a boning knife or a popular pairing knife and a knife block, then you should upgrade to a different set of knives.
But if you are someone who thinks, “What’s the big deal, a knife is a knife.” Then being able to buy these sharpest knives at the price point they are at for the warranty they offer is a great deal. They would be a great addition to your household items and easily help you check things off your kitchen checklist.

Final thoughts about Forever Sharp Knives review
While Forever Sharp Knives offer an appealing promise, they also seem to live up to their claim offering a great warranty and having many happy users over ranging all the way up to the 15-year mark (I can tell you none of my knives have lasted that long). If you are looking for an affordable set of knives, these are cheap knives that get the job done.
