Being able to go into an oven setting is an essential feature of these pans. That’s because being able to go from the stovetop element to your oven is a significant deal for most experienced cooks and home chefs.
Are the Calphalon Handles of Pans Oven-Safe?
Calphalon handles are oven-safe as well. Their nonstick hard anodized steel pots and pans come with a silicone comfort grip handle that can go in the oven. The stay-cool silicone handle cookware is safe up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
However, it will still be burning hot when you take it out. They can go in the oven, but you shouldn’t touch the handles after they’ve gone in. Use an oven mitt to put in and remove your pan from the oven.
Are Calphalon Lids Oven-Safe?
Calphalon Lids are oven safe up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Many of the Calphalon Pans come with a tempered glass lid. These are great because you can monitor your cooking without worrying about splatter getting everywhere there are also great for trapping in the heat.
Are Calphalon Pans Broiler-Safe?
Calphalon pans are not Broiler safe. The nonstick coating used in any Calphalon pans cannot withstand a direct flame from a broiler. The lid is also not broiler safe.
If you do put the non-stick coating on the Calphalon pots under a broiler, it will break down the non-stick coating and void your warranty. For this reason, you should never use the broiler with your Calphalon pans.
The only pan we could find was broiler-safe was the Calphalon Cast Iron skillet; this was good for both broiler and oven.
